Hi all,

Planning for Brass Monkey 2011 is well underway.

We are now confirmed for the 21/22 of May and entries are open!

Brief details:

Saturday: Indoors at the Rotorua Sportsdrome (4-a-side, minimum of 3 players of each gender per team). Get into the social atmosphere by dressing your team in costume. Like last year, prizes will be awarded to the best dressed teams. There is space for 16 teams. Entry is guaranteed for last year's champions, MUD.

Party: Pool party at Kiwipaka, poolside hat draw at 9pm.

Sunday: Outdoors at the Medical Officers' Field, Pukuatua St. Sunday is a hat tournament (7-a-side).

We'll update this page, our facebook page and email NZU lists with more information as it comes to hand.

Don't forget - prizes are up for grabs for teams in costume for indoors (theme of your choice) and individuals at the party - the theme will be announced soon.

Bring: A white and a dark top (for the hat tournament)
Warm clothes

Roster details:
Minimum squad size is 7

Teams will be selected with the following criteria in mind:

1. Regional variation
2. Teams with at least three women will be given preference
3. The team member's commitment to playing Sunday (for the hat tournament)
4. The team's costume idea (for use in-play on Saturday)
5. Balance between the 'competitive' grade and 'social' grade
6. Time of entry
